Day 5, Castelmola and seafood lunch at Taormina

We took a 15-minute bus ride to the medieval village of Castelmola, perched high on a rock.

Castelmola offers wonderful panoramic views.
The land in the background is Giardini-Naxos by the sea.

From Castelmola we had a clear view of Mt. Etna.

Back in Taormina, we went to La Grotta Azzurra for seafood lunch.
We had fried sardine, grilled calamari, and stone bass.
