Day 12, a free day in Palermo

Vincent found our hotel's marble spiral staircase interesting.

Looking up at the marble spiral staircase. The building was originally a palace,
it was converted into a hotel and opened for business in December/2008.

Vincent and Mei-Ching rode a 20-min city bus to Mondello beach.

Mondello's pleasant sandy beach.

At the northern end of the beach there were piers and fishing boats, as well as a fish stall.

This was live sepia. We had delicious grilled sepia in Cefalù on Day 9.

Our lunch with Susan and Ken back in Palermo. The black-ink spaghetti was very tasty.

At Spinanto, to sip coffee and enjoy another serving of almond ice cream.

Inside Spinnato, buying almond cookies to bring home.

We hopped on another city bus for a ride. Outside the window was Teatro Massimo.

We got off bus at the English Garden for a stroll.

Our farewell dinner took place at our Palermo hotel's restaurant.
This was our appetizers.

Our pasta course.

Our second course, turkey.

Dessert, served family style.

Everyone had a smiling face, it was indeed a very enjoyable vacation to all.
