2/14/2019, Enroute to Taipei

Japan Airline's Boeing787-9 Dreamliner was loading supplies at the Logan airport
getting ready for our 14-hr flight to Tokyo Narita.

At Logan airport's E Terminal, waiting to board JL #7 flight to Tokyo Narita.

Dinner served on the flight.

Our flight path.
We flew up north to Canada, over the Arctic Circle to Tokyo.

The big circle is the shortest distance.

Some of the territorial names to the south of our flight path.

It was frigid ice looking down from our airplane window.

After a 14-hr flight to Japan, this was the 2nd leg,
on a 4-hr flight to Taiwan.

At Taipei's Taoyuan Airport (TPE).
Passengers were prohibited from bringing meat products into Taiwan.
They deployed sniffer dogs to sniff out luggage and bags,
offenders would be fined up to one million NTD dollars (USD$ 30,303).
(There was a rampant pig's disease spreading in China and a few southeast Asian countries.
To prevent the disease from spreading to Taiwan, the authorities
took drastic measures to stop meats from being brought into Taiwan.)

Night scene not far from our hotel.
