We bought our train tickets to Camogli (and return) at the SML train station.
A regional train ticket is open-seating and good for any regional trains between the starting and ending points,
therefore the ticket must be inserted into a machine to be validated with a timestamp before boarding a train.

After 5 minutes, we arrived at Camogli's train platform.

Camogli's main street.

From main street, we could see the ocean below.

We took this set of stairs to go down to the beach.
(An elevator was out-of-work for maintenance for 3 days.)

Camogli's beaches.

Beach-front restaurants and shops.

Notice some of the shutters, moldings and windows on the buildings were paint jobs and are not real.
SML also has many colorful buildings like these, with painted shutters and decorations.

A very tranquil beach.

We took this set of stairs up to the main street,
then walked to the train station to take a train back to SML.

From SML's city center, we walked to this "Ristorante Da Michele".
It was located in a lovely square and was about 2-min's walk west of the Duomo.

We shared a "Spaghetti Bolognese", spaghetti with Bologna-styled ragu sauce.
The sauce is meat-based, with chopped beef and some pork fat and then slow-cooked.
We'd be visiting the city of Bologna a week later, but when we saw the item on the menu,
we could not help wanting to try it.
Later, we read in Wikipedia that in Italy, ragu is not paired with spaghetti,
but the so-called "Spaghetti Bolognese" has become a popular dish in many other parts of the world.
So, perhaps this menu item was just for non-Italian tourists to order?

... and shared a Grilled Mixed Seafood,
which came with 2 kinds of fish, 2 kinds of shrimp, 2 kinds of squid (sepia), and two kinds of grilled vegetable.
A delicious dish.

Our lunch bill.
The Mixed Grill Seafood at €20 was an incredibly good value.
