9/23 ~ 9/24/2019, Rome

The internal courtyard of Hotel Quirinale
where we waited until a room was ready for us.
Breakfast was also served with tables along side this tranquil courtyard.

Our room on the 3rd floor (American's 4th).
Although this room was facing the busy Via Nazionale, the windows must be
very well sound-proofed because we heard no street noise at all.

Our room came with a very spacious bathroom.

Dinner was at "Mercato Centrale Roma" (Central Market of Rome) behind the train station.
This relatively new venue was set up by copying the successful formula of "Mercato Central" in Florence.

You'd find seats to sit first, then go buy food from different vendors.
Some dishes were made-to-order.

"Venchi" is a popular and good-quality gelato chain.
The first of many gelati we had on this trip. This one was pistachio and mango flavor.
Venchi has a store in Taipie, at 新光三越信義廣場 A11 (Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place A11, 1st floor).
It also has two stores in Tokyo. One is in Ginza, 東京都中央区銀座4丁目3−2. The other in Otemachi.

On our way back to the hotel, we walked past by the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.
Many restaurants around the theater were doing good business in this evening.
The first "Three Tenors" concert in 1990 was held in Baths of Caracalla in Rome,
and the rehearsals took place in here.

A fruits and vegetable vendor in Campo de Fiori.

Zucchini flowers, tomato, and very thin green beans.

The Pantheon of Rome, completed around 126 AD.
We liked to stop by here when we were in Rome.
